3D Printing is incredible for cheap sailboats

I built a “sailboat” (well, a boat that sails) in my garage last year. Was making some adjustments and started a list of things I’d need to complete the projects. 2 pulleys, 3 cleats, etc.For fun I googled thinking “surely not.. ” but yeah, surely. Printed off pulleys and cleats and they are working great.NOTE: Obviously anywhere it’s a “life or death” thing spend the money, but these were “it would be easier if” things, so no biggie in a failure. If anyone is interested, the boat is called a “duck punt.” Cheap to build, no lee board, no rudder, and sails up-wind in 8″ of water. (the side of the boat works as the lee board, and an oar thrown over the edge braced against a “stick” works as the rudder.) Incredible boats.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZ3hLPJn_xA http://ift.tt/2pYESzk
