We will no longer be selling TEVO products (and I suggest you do the same).

I know that my company is tiny, and most of you will not care much about this, but I just wanted to say to the community that we have officially stopped the sale of all TEVO products. We offered TEVO printers and accessories (extruders, hotends, etc.), but recent events have made us decide that it is not worth it.3D printing products from China (including TEVO) have always been below the quality of products made here in the US or Europe (looking at you guys, E3D and Prusa). This has been a well-known fact for a long time, but the low prices make up for this. However, it has been getting much worse and worse over the last few months. Printers are arriving missing massive amounts of parts, with random glitches in software, and horrible tolerance and safety issues (random smoke coming off of parts, parts that are up to 50% longer than they are supposed to be, etc.)There have also been the recent shady actions involving Tom on Youtube, where TEVO sent a printer to Tom, unsolicited, and then sent him money when he asked why they sent it. I was not surprised to hear when this happened, it seemed like something TEVO would do.In addition, there have been some other recent legal things with TEVO and other companies that I feel I should not talk about, but overall it has left me hating TEVO.To all the other companies out there looking to sell TEVO products, save yourself the shame and the hassle, just don’t. http://ift.tt/2jhrAII

I 3D printed and finished a pair of the Team Fortress 2 Ambassador revolvers, one of which is going to be donated to the Childs Play Charity Auction dinner happening in December!

Mathematical Art

I have absolutely zero experience with 3D-printers. Never even seen one. However, my local library has 5, and so I was thinking that perhaps I’d print out a 3D space-filling curve, or a Sierpinski’s tetrahedron, or some other three-dimensional fractal or mathematically interesting shape. Perhaps for a Christmas present, but frankly I don’t really expect it’ll be ready by then. What should I know? I checked out Thingiverse, but I couldn’t find anything. Any other websites, or should I just design it myself? I know that’ll take ages, especially for somebody with minimal (but not no) experience with design, but if there is one thing in this universe I love, it is math, so I think I could persevere if only for the beauty math. http://ift.tt/2A0jFcL
